Are you guys seeing anything about the 2012 date really being now?

The whole Mayan Prophecy thing...I have a group of numerologist friends who have been in a bit of a tizzy lately because something was discovered that points to the date originally felt as December 2012 by our calendars is actually now...12/20-12/21/10.

?

I don't know that it means anything one way or another, I'm just curious if you're seeing similar discussions, especially given the unique nature of this solstice, astronomically/astrologically.

it certainly has been feeling like the 'beginning of the end' lately...I don;t doubt that this next year is really going to be interesting to say the least...

it feels like the old way is just.not.working. anymore... so it's time to step into our vision and power, even if we don;t know that that looks like yet because it is still shrouded in mist.

lol...and my first 'human' response to that is "oh, dear, there's so much to be DONE!...and i'm still so tired!"

I have been 'seeing' things lately... like spirits out of the corner of my eye, or little glimpses of the fabric of reality wiggling and turning translucent... so i suppose more of that will follow as well. a change in vibration *does* usually change perception as well...

11. I just remembered something

When I had my marvelous tarot reading last February, the reader said (and this stood out for me): "Nothing much happens in 2010--it's just preparation. Everything happens in 2011." Now, I thought she was just talking about my personal life, but what if she was referring to the bigger picture? :shrug: I mean, it's all the same anyway--I could see how events would take place in an individual's life as part of a bigger change in energy.

looking at the NASA eclipse catalogs for solar or lunar eclipses to the year 3000...

in fact, the ONLY eclipse happening in December, especially on SOLSTICE is THIS YEAR!

I never resonated with the whole pole shift or other disaster scenarios of the 2012 messages. I certainly recognize that as a possibility, but I choose (;)) to see a different path.

Hard to put into words, but basically I feel this has the potential of being some huge energetic kumbaya event. If we focus accordingly.

I see it as positive too; "dark" to me means "close your eyes and make a wish" kind of dark, not scary/evil/disaster dark.

that this event of going into darker darkness than any of us have ever witnessed in our life times and then coming into light as we start witnessing longer days as a kind of symbolic death and then resurrection or rebirth. I do believe it is the starting event of spiritual change coming to the world.

wrote about last month being on the USA's Moon (Borders). The bigger issue is Pluto because we are in such a prolonged state of its effects until 2023.

Borders of many types are being affected by each planet. Think about what a "border" is...

The trouble with astrology is that we keep trying to get SPECIFIC answers from a system that can't provide it!
It's archetypal.

IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO WRITE AN ASTROLOGY NEWSLETTER AND BE CLEAR.

It is not predictable in a concrete way. It's all about the archetypes which are all about the truth behind things.

Pluto breaks down things that are corrupt, period.
The recent Sun joining with Pluto that is causing so much of the breakdown of codependency is an example. Same as the one coming 12/21-12/25.

The time is up. It's over. The clock has stopped ticking.

You all feel this, that is the archetypal power of the collective force. You see it in nations, in your life, in your families, in yourselves! And if you do not feel it, you are in denial.

with a system that is PURE. That, is Pluto. And that is exactly what it is trying to do in Capricorn. But, first, the cancer must be dug out. Then, the healing, then, the recovery.

Pluto is all about purity of intention and will eventually erode any system that is void of that.

You see, Pluto is the FINAL voice. Some voice has to be so. It is only destructive to the degree of our existing corruption! As we become more pure, it supports and helps us. Once again.

There are no forces out there to kill or hurt us, BUT, nature will get rid of the weak as it does in all systems.
It has to.

We have to help.
We have to create solutions.
Then, it will start to get a life of its own and maybe, we'll be reborn. Pluto always has the option of simply getting rid of us. It did quite a job of things during the Holocaust.

The "system" is sick and needs attention. This is just one reason politics are INSANE right now.
We can help each other, no doubt, but we must start at the beginning.

And that means cleaning up our own acts (which many, many people do here on DU and should be applauded)
We can't clean corruption or rid ourselves of it until each of us do so.

There are no "borders" in life other than mythical lines of consensus.

So, how do you fix all this? You start movements

JUST LIKE ONEGRASSROOT HAS DONE.

You act. You write a newsletter.

Or, you sit and wait for Mommy to fix it while we scream for help.

Anyway, part of the process heading in to 2012 is that all "truth" will be revealed, which is very ironic considering what we are seeing now - Wikileaks, Jessie Ventura's Conspiracy show, The Event, V, the History Channel has been doing alot of shows proving the distinct possibility of aliens ("Disclosure" is also supposed to be part of our "truth"), as well as what really happened on 9/11 (and Jessie Ventura has done 2 shows on that), and the President's Book of Secrets on the History Channel, etc. The internet certainly started it. I don't know, I'm seeing the change and I try very hard not to get too disappointed in Obama, as I do believe he is the right man to lead us into 2012. I think he knows what he's doing. I don't know, despite all the awful crap going on (which I suppose in the cosmic scheme of things must happen before we wake up) - but we've also got an awful lot of good people (obviously spiritually higher) such as Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Ed Schultz, Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, and so many others. I just think its going to be okay and get better, after some rough spots for sure.

With the caveat that I a) don't know all that much about the Mayan calendar and how it relates to our calendar in numerological terms and b) don't believe that the 2012-like event is or was supposed to bring about the end of the literal world, I think that much of what New Agers think of as the 2012 change occurred in the year 2006.

In addition to transformative spiritual awakenings for me and almost everyone I know, a sea change (temporary though it may have been) in the United States Congress, grotesque information emerging about Climate Change, ("An Inconvenient Truth") in 2006, we saw an end to the geopolitical structures we have been living with since the end of WWII, with China in particular rising up as the great super power.

Don't misunderstand, I'm still interested to see what happens in 2012. And I think one person's interpretation is just as valid as the next in terms of what we may experience. But the end of the old world? For me, and most I know, this end has already come and gone, and we're mostly better off for it. Mostly.
