Saw this posted in Editorials--the start of a five-part series on the code in Rosslyn Chapel (the one in Scotland that plays a prominent role in The Da Vinci Code). The first two parts are up on Slate; three more to come in the next three days.

Basically it posits that repeating symbols on the arches in the chapel are music notes. If nothing else, be sure to check out the video in the second part--how particular shapes are formed in sand depending on the tones of different vibrations (later discovered by Chladni and so attributed to him, but the shapes in the chapel predate Chladni by almost 200 years). SO AMAZING!

I just wonder if when we reach critical mass and the big sound starts to gong ....Is it gonna be one more soul like the mayors son that goes "Yop!" (I had a friend once say that our internet is a 3d version of the Akashic Records, and we can find anything we wish to access, (especially since we are changing to silicate and crystal instead of carbon) the internet is there to remind us of this... )
