I need vibes, prayers, encouragement... |
|
I had lost almost 30# in less than a year. Since last October, I have been trying to find out WHY?
May I preface this with, I am grateful, grateful, GRATEFUL for the community health centers that are out there. May I also say, they are great for colds!
After 6 months, I finally "cast caution to the wind" and went back to my gastro doc, whose "company" had fired me two years ago because I could not afford the copays.
To make a long story short, as we all prefer, I have FINALLY found out the problem...hemochromatosis. A genetically acquired condition. No cure, tx, no guarantee that I will feel much better.
I hurt, am so VERY angry...fatigue is a great part of this disease, tx does not mean relief.
I would appreciate all prayers you may choose to give. I AM PISSED!

1. Do some research on this. |
|
Before listening to any regular doctor or taking his word as the final word, I mean, consult with a naturopath or see what can be done. Almost everything has to do with an imbalance of sorts. I really think that there is hope with the right diet plan. Also, doesn't giving blood regularly help this condition? Juicing with Barley Grasses will certainly help with the energy, I bet! Good Luck!

2. Good morning, kimmerspixelated... |
|
let me start by apologizing for my angry tone last night, while asking for help, no less! That wasn't cool on any level, and I am sorry.
I am doing research, thank you. So far, I have found I cannot/should not eat a lot of the foods I enjoy. Such as legumes, spinach  , beef, port, or chicken, tuna, just to name a few. This will be life altering for me but I will sail through with flying colors.
Yes, giving blood is part of the tx. I see my doc on Monday and we will hash out a plan then. Depending on the severity, I could have to give 1pt x2 weekly down to as little as 1pt every few weeks.
I will check out the Barley Grass. Thank you!
Thank you for responding.

3. so, so glad you found the cause! |
|
It is treatable, thankfully. Do look into oral chelating agents. I understand your being pissed, but honestly that could make you grab hold of any iron and not release it. I would suggest looking into EFT to release some of the anger. That could help you with your entire condition.
Releasing anger about any condition is the first step in the healing process.

Celebration.
I am not, by nature, an angry person but these past few weeks have certainly changed that! Yesterday was the icing on my cake.
I will look into the oral chelating agents, as well as EFT.
Again, thank you.

5. honestly I think you will feel a lot better soon |
|
And the condition itself, physiologically, can cause the mind to feel distress. Once you start getting treatment, you will more easily be able to release the anger.
It makes me sad that you have had this problem for the last few months, without treatment, but just very grateful that it was finally diagnosed.
I hope you learn a lot about this condition and I feel like you will be able to control it, be on the road to recovery, and start life anew.
I can just imagine what the last few months have been like.
We all love and support you in this journey. :grouphug:

MorningGlow. I will see doc tomorrow to set a course to containing this thing. My current attitude SUCKS, but, as the old adage goes "this too shall pass".
I am blessed to have you, and everyone here, on my "team". :loveya:

I REALLY like spinach! That is one of the foods I am to avoid. My attempt at levity.
Thank you for your "gifts", dear japple, and all. :grouphug:
