You know the kind where you go to the dentist to get a tooth pulled, but they say that it's really the tooth next to it that's the problem, needs a crown, but insurance only covers half, so you say you'll have to think about it, and make another apptmt. ...so you realize you wasted a LOT of time...and then later you have a bickering fight with your teenager who is SOOO sure you are holding her captive and that she never gets to do anything, and then later you find yourself on another crying jag and you wonder if you will ever get to the point where things don't set off a tear-fest! ARGHH!!!!

2. Dental issues can totally wreck your day |

And dealing with insurance companies and teenagers on top of it all? No wonder you're feeling crummy.
I hope it gets better for you.

Hey Kimmer... FWIW, I had a dental experience that hit me like a meteror just having a cleaning. ended up basically in the fetal position for the rest of the day, and had a serious PTSD episode...
My therapist told me that we hold trauma in our Oral area, and sometimes it can be triggered by dentistry if we are in a vulnerable space. So please don't blame yourself, it very well could have just been that same physical trigger.
 hang in there, sistah
