Where should I hang a Blue Glass Nazar Boncugu in my home? |
|
I assume I should hang it by my front door, but do I hang it on the same wall as the door or facing it?
Or someplace completely different?
Thanks!:hi:

4. I would hang it facing the door |
|
That way it can "watch" the entrance for you and help keep negative vibes from coming in.

Another trick I've heard for keeping spooks out of a house is to never place a mirror across from a door or window. The reflection creates a spirit door that allows entities to cross through more easily. That might be another good spot for your boncugu as well.

11. That's really interesting. I have never heard of that. |

I believe I had a visitation from my mother a few years ago. In the middle of the night, I woke up to a 'sizzling' sound that sounded/felt like static electricity moving slowly up my body. My husband, laying right next to me, didn't hear/feel a thing. When I finally went back to sleep, I found myself dreaming a very vivid dream. In it, I walked downstairs to our foyer and looked in the mirror that was there (directly opposite our entry doors). Instead of my reflection, I saw my mother in a mist. As I watched her, her form came closer and became clearer. She was smiling and I asked her if she was happy. She nodded her head and mouthed the word "yes", then faded away like she was being pulled back.
I thought the whole mirror thing was strange at the time, except that it was a mirror that had been passed down in our family. Now, it doesn't seem so strange.

13. I'll move my mirror when I get home, then! |
|
I deliberately put it facing the door, thinking in some vague, fung-shui-y way, that I was protecting the house. Well, they say a little knowlege is a dangerous thing.

one is on a ribbon and hung on my calendar in the kitchen. the other is a large, on a string, and is right at the front door. found a good deal on them on ebay, so i give them away to family. you can also glue a magnet to one and put it on the fridge door.

Another vote for opposite the front door, definitely.
I should dig mine out--it's in a box of work stuff from when I was employed full time. Because there's no better place to protect from the evil eye than an OFFICE!

14. No such thing as too much protection! |
|
I found even one has the added benefit of freaking out the overly conventional. One woman said she didn't want to enter my office because the "eye looked evil". How's that for irony? :) Anyway, no skin off my nose--just make it all the more peaceful for me!
