very powerful... the imagery of the trek over the sierras was very profound for me, since i live up here... the description of the jungle and the granite cliffs, and then the carson valley being level with where lake tahoe would be (and the lake is gone) is really amazing...
i would be one of the tribes of the plains, for sure... already planning my move to the native washoe land to be with tribe :)
powerful book for me, yes. thanks for mentioning it again here! (i need to re-read the other 2 in the series)
