What do you seek from this space, at this point in time? |
|
Hi :hi:
How are you all are feeling about ASAH in general? Is there something you may need from others that you're not getting, or something (information, advice) you'd like to offer that you refrain from posting perhaps?
We all go through cycles in our personal lives which lend to engaging here more or less, and we know relationships evolve and transform, but I was just wondering if there is something specific you may come here seeking that you no longer see, or have never seen but would like to.
I don't spend nearly as much time here these days for different reasons as I used to, and I apologize in advance if I don't reply to any responses here right away.
I'm just wondering if there is something we as a group are seeking but not finding (and haven't given voice to it), and if there's any way to address it?
If no one else has these questions, nor replies to them, no worries!

1. if I don't have any expectations, then |
|
I won't be disappointed. That is kind of my attitude.
Even though I like all the astrology and support here, I think it would be a more vibrant place if there were more people participating that had more varied interests, eg, cutting edge science, applied kinesiology, orgone, radionics, etc.--all the things that *I* am interested in.

2. I agree about expectations; I guess I was asking more about interests... |
|
desires and needs on a personal level, and what people here are looking for in "community."
I'm with you; I don't personally resonate with astrology nearly to the degree others do. Hell, I don't personally resonate with much of anything......so I can't even answer my own question.
;)

3. I like to sort through what I find |
|
I am a general seeker and have really gotten a lot out of the Astrology information relating to current times, since I had no knowledge of Astrology at all. I also very much enjoy when discussion turns to personal interests like, alternative/natural health practices, UFOs, alternate dimensions, and reincarnation.
Bottom line is for me if the discussion goes to areas I haven't been interested in previously there is a good chance I might find a new interest there. Learning is a good thing.
I would love to see continued spiritual discussions. I am very much into exploring that. I have no particular "belief system" but ideas that strike me as true, so exploration is good for me. I also benefit from discussion of negative aspects that have crept into, or been placed into various spiritual ideas and possible motives/reasons that happens in humanity.

5. There are sometimes gems in here |
|
where you least expect them. It doesn't happen that often, but I have had a few "light bulb" moments here..............
And this is probably different posts that cause this for different people.
Although I don't know much about astrology, I have absorbed enough here get a few of the basics, and I definitely see the value.

Yeah, that describes me as well.
I really just love reading about others' experiences and insights -- of all types -- and how they are feeling about life, what they've learned along the way, what they'd like to experience or see happen, how they apply their beliefs in everyday life.
I love to learn about others' practices and belief systems, but I'm even more interested in how they arrived at those practices and belief systems.
I'm an à la carte seeker, not a purist about anything. So varied discussion really interests me.

7. I consider this place to be my spiritual home. |
|
It doesn't matter to me what is being discussed; it only matters to me that there are spiritually open-minded people here who allow me to be myself.
I like that we are happy to see each other and that we welcome people back when we haven't seen someone for a while. I also like that we are kind and compassionate with each other; this respect is so rare in the world.
It also makes me happy when someone new joins us so that we can welcome him/her home as well. :)

ASAH is a WONDERFUL spiritual home with lovely thought-provoking but welcoming folks, to laugh, to cry, to pontificate, to SHARE so much... I am always learning or reading or viewing something new here or if I find it somewhere else I will lend a loving link.
I LOVE YOU GUYS>>>>> WITH ALL MY HEART!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

11. We're lucky to have found it, kimmers. |

I was a member of DU for 6 months before I finally fell upon it. As soon as I started reading, it was as though I had found an oasis in the desert. (The desert being the world in general rather than just DU.) I will never forget that feeling.

20. I will follow IHAD...... |
|
because she expresses best, the way I feel about it. I am so grateful that a generous person has donated a star even tho I am not a frequent participant. For the most part I don't need interaction, just the knowing that we are all one....... I blogged with an astrological/political blog for 11 years, which is now faltering along due to the o illness of the owner moderator. The spinoff by one of the members is very inadequate. They ruminate & speculate & show off their astrologicaL ABILITIES...........endlessly without being able to grasp, that the more thought and attention you give to the woeful Republican candidates,or the thought of Iran's nuclear capablities the more you make them manifest! So I check in here in the evening, when I am too tired to move around..and just enjoy the thoughts. ANd I am so pleased that the private ASAH group has formed on my facebook. Anyone who isn't there and wants to be,consult OGR or IHAD.............both more familiar with all of you. Love you all, lightworkers!

12. Yeah.I really love this place and all the folks here |
|
too. I can touch bases with people going through similar changes and pick up on and exchange new information, as well as feeling supported . To have a place to go to be with like minded individuals is absolutely priceless. Because of the nebulous nature of spirituality ,philosophy,Meta physics, and psychic phenomenon ASAH provides a place of grounding, connecting, and growth. It also offers a sounding board for experiential exploring and living.:grouphug:
