Is Merc Retro particularly hard on Geminis?

There are some who believe so since it is the ruler of Gemini. "Hard times" don't come from M Rx. It comes from planets Saturn outward. Probably Pluto. You'd have to see her whole chart. Remember, Neptune is near early Pisces which is square to early Gemini.
Mercury is more of a nuisance. Irritant.

yet this mercury retrograde *is* in Sagittarius, the opposing sign, so that may bother Geminis more than most.

I truly believe Merc Rx is why we have to have two personalities. This one is particularly trying.
Added to Merc Rx is some kind of crazy full moon on Dec. 10.

6. I agree with those who say "look at the whole chart," but I've actually noticed

that Mercury ruled Sun signs can have, for the most part, an easier time with Merc Rx than most. They may be more comfortable with that energy than other signs are, even when it's retrograde. It's how the retro is interacting with the rest of the chart that can tell us whether it's going to be unusually bad for them (or anyone.)

FWIW, however, the person I think of as having the hardest times with Mercury retrograde has four planets in Gemini. Gets his keister handed to him every time.
