Before: all of my 20 sq feet spinach patch, harvested (touch one), washed (touch two) and removed the main veins (touch three). Oh, and stacked for effect, mobile for reference.

After: (stew the spinach and a couple handfuls of sorrel with a bit of butter and the water hanging on the leaves, add salt, pepper, nutmeg and cream. I mixed it cause our 5 year old doesn't like the stringy style otherwise)

All in all, 4 rations of 500 g each...luckily, I had the same 2 weeks back from the same plants.
The taste is just great and quite different from deepfrozen you can buy. It grows very easily and quick, too (4-6 weeks).
I do understand now how Popeye gets so strong - he doesn't just eat the stuff but plants and cooks it too! ;-)
