| Has anyone seen any honeybees? |
|
I have been watching the clover, and have only seen bumblebees.
I am in western PA and have not seen one honeybee this year.

| 1. Yes, but we keep them. |
|
We have 2 colonies of European HoneyBees behind our cabin. We started Bee Keeping in 2007. It has been quite an adventure. The more we learn about them, the more fascinated we become. The collective intelligence of The Hive is awe inspiring.
Small Scale, decentralized, Pesticide-Free, Corn syrup free, Organic BeeKeeping may be the solution.

| 2. We are very lucky to have a couple of different colonies (is that the right word?) living |

on our property (we're in a semi-rural area.) About once a week the one nearest our house gets very active and the buzzing is amazingly loud. Fortunately, unlike our local wasps, they are very friendly and docile and want only to pollinate my flowers and veggies.

| 4. I've been seeing quite a few of them |

I've actually seen more this year than in years past. I generally look for them because my dad and I kept bees when I was a kid.

on a pile of dirt I was shifting last week, but since then I've seen my zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers loaded with them.
I'm really glad more than ever we use organic everything here.
