Okay, I give up! How to you get rid of a palmetto? |
I've been trying to kill a cumbersome bugger for over ten years but it keeps coming back! Someone said to slice it above the ground, drill holes and plug the holes with rock salt. I'm just afraid to do it because I don't want to kill the trees around it.
Any ideas?

1. how much room around it do you have? |
Tree services can grind a stump down into oblivion in about ten minutes. Every time I see someone trying to camouflage a tree stump I want to tell them that.

2. Those stump grinders are pretty big and this stump is too close |
to the trunk of an oak tree. But thanks.

3. I read that you could kill stumps by drilling deep holes and filling |
with roundup. It worked for me on some burford holly bushes. I hate using anything like roundup, but I might have to do it again to get rid of bradford pear trees that keeps growing off the roots of a tree we cut down.
