Last year I used an old plastic wheel barrel with a flat tire as a planter for onions and a bell pepper plant. Just drilled a few holes in the bottom for drainage.

I have an old grill in the shed, I may use it next year! It's a taller grill so maybe some sweet potato vines wold look nice.
