At least it wasn't a gas leak! I thought I'd been smelling gas yesterday,

so was puzzled and a bit alarmed. Turns out, this pink thing is the culprit. I really cannot stand the smell! I think it's headed outside to live out the rest of its life.

1. Ah, stargazer lilies!

People love them or hate them. They are uber-fragrant, and some sniffers are particularly sensitive to their smell and find them offensive. Too bad. They're such a beautiful flower.

2. They are beautiful, but do they stink (to me, obviously)!

Thanks for identifying it; I bought some white stargazer bulbs last year, but in the garden they weren't nearly as offensive as they are in the house.
