| I got attacked by horseflies! |
|
I was cleaning out a water basin and suddenly got attacked by two horseflies. It never happened before. A total of three were hoovering around me as if I had breached their terroritory, which is odd because I had been working there all day. It just happened to be getting dusk and I figured that they had come to lay their eggs over the basin.
Anyway, since then I've been on the look out for them and found that a lot of the insects that are taking advantage of my pollen plants are horseflies. Anybody got any ideas on what kind of water basins I should look for to put an end to their mating grounds? I'm dumping mosquito dunk crumbs in the bromeliad cups, bird baths and pond, but I don't know if that will kill horsefly larva.

| 1. Ouch! You have my sympathy... |

I remember the first time I got stung by one of those suckers. Felt like someone had hit me on the arm with a baseball bat.
