Wonderful today. Picked my first ripe cherry tomatoes...not too many just yet...and ate them with my trout for supper.
Before that I spent most of the day snapping, blanching and freezing green beans. Half a bushel worth. Still more beans on the plants. Sorry, too busy to even think about the camera.

Our tomatoes are still about 3-4 weeks away. There's green fruit out there. I don't grow green beans, but two weeks ago I pulled the fava beans and shucked, blanched, and shelled them before freezing. They last all year. At the same time the SO picked all of the remaining radishes and mizuna.
This weekend is garlic harvest for us. We forked up half of it last week in order to turn the bed. What's left is the bed where the fattest bulbs should be. The red onions are about ready too.
