A WoW administrator had cited a player for mentioning the formation of a gay-friendly guild, saying that her statement violated the game's policy against harassment of players. His rather circular logic was that if you let other players know about a gay-friendly guild other players might start harassing that guild's players. WoW's manufacturer Blizzard has rescinded that decision.
While I don't like this article (and the author's characterization of the reversal as "caving in,") I do think this is an interesting development in that Lambda is addressing WoW's obligations as a business.
