Roguelike games are probably my #1 gaming vice, overall. Anyone else have a softspot for 'em? I recently came across two good 'uns.

http://www.bay12games.com/lcs/index.htmA rare "squad-based" political roguelike in which the player organizes and leads teams of liberal activists and urban guerillas against the conservative-dominated state.

* GearHead --
http://gearhead.roguelikedevelopment.org/A "mecha pilot" sci-fi roguelike, rather well done, still in the pre-1.0 development stages, but with some veeery nice features. I sense a strong Fallout influence, and there are tiled graphics available as an alternative to the standard ascii world. Relatively strong storyline, too.
It's gratifying to see the genre evolving beyond the D&D knock-off stages.
