| Question about "Splinter Cell" |
|
I'm a gaming ignoramus for the most part, so apologies for invading your group and please be gentle.
For his birthday (he'll be 13) my son wants a game called Splinter Cell which I think is some sort of espionage thriller. My wife is concerned that it's overly violent or bloody but I took a look and it seems to be more concerned with stealth and strategy than gratuitous shooting and killing.
Anybody have firsthand experience with this thing? Thanks.

The emphasis is certainly on stealthiness and strategy and the avoidance of using firearms however there is killing involved, but it is nothing like the blood-fests of other games. I think it would be appropriate for a 13 year old of any rational, sound mind. Oh wait we are talking about teenagers. ;)
Seriously I think it would be fine. It is not overly gory or violent.
