Are there any good memory or skills improvements games
out there? "Brain games"? Any sites that offer these kinds of games?

Trying to do some research and I figure the DU gaming group is full of experts! Thanks in advance for any info....

1. Just off the top of my head
http://www.braingle.com -- mostly user-submitted puzzles, but well organized into categories

And a couple of Boggle-type games: http://www.wordtwist.org/ and http://www.wordsplay.net/

4. SET
by Set Games. It's a great little card game that plays fast.

5. Another site that offers quizzes that might meet your criteria:
http://www.sporcle.com

Dozens of list-based games, so more long-term memory. I think they could be used as short-term memory tools as well if you were to play them more than once, prompting recall to the earlier games.
