It's pretty freakin awesome. I think it legitimately has claim to call itself the best baseball game of all-time.

1. Hitting is damn tough.

It's supposed to be, I get that. But it took me probably two solid hours in the batting cage just to get the timing sort of down.

I haven't played a baseball game since the PS1 days, but I'm really impressed with the game, especially from a graphical perspective. The double plays are so smooth, the outfielders take great - that is, realistic - routes to the ball, and I like how the game builds in things like bobbles and the ability to handle or not handle hot grounders.
