| New to games - My husband and I just got a Game Cube |
|
I haven't had a game system since I was a young teen and had an Atari 2600.
I don't know much about games except that they are much more complicated than they used to be. Our system came with Mario Kart Double Dash and I bought one used game - Pyuo Pop, which is kind of Tetris-y. They are both lots of fun.
We have a 2-1/2 year old daughter who tries to play with us. I guess I'd like some games that she can at least try to play. She has computer games she does well with so I'm guessing she'll catch onto the game controller and be able to play at least pretty well before too long.
Does anyone have any suggestions? And are there particularly good online sites to buy games from? I only want games rated E because my daughter will try to play them and will eventually grow into them and play them.
Thanks :)

Brand new. Features lots of easy minigames that anybody can play, apparently. It's multiplayer, and supposedly a complete blast.
Mario Golf is fun.
At 2 1/2, I dunno. that's real young. I love the Zeldas. Wind Waker is the kind you can play for hours, because it gets soothing to just sail from island to island. :D

| 3. Monkey Ball. 1 & 2. Children safe and a blast even for adults. |

and tons of minigames to keep even the jaded entertained. the main game can be challenging and the minigames are addictive and generally simple.
basic game is imagine those labrinth games where you try to balance the platform to move the ball to the goal without falling. yeah, that's it. except the platforms are outrageously complex in the higher levels.
minigames are lil' games like bowling, tennis, aerial dog fight, hang glider, safari hunt shooting, baseball, boating, etc. very fun in and of themselves.
then from there it's just a matter of finding what you like. but monkey ball is perfect for kids and adults.
