Question about Civ 2

I can't get it to run on Win7 64bit. Is there something I'm not doing? I can't even get it to install.

Poop. I love Civ2. I always play the One City Challenge. Deity level, one city is all you get. I usually win by 1860.

3. If you have Civ version 2.42 I don't believe it will install on a 64 bit system.

There is a way to install a "virtual" Windows XP on your computer that allows 32 bit programs, but I don't know how to do that. Might be some answers here though. I'd test it for you but I'm not on Windows 7. Sorry.

with Home Premium 64 bit. poop. I'll have to look around and get a different edition of Civ2, I guess.

I'm not sure if the regular Civ2 download is version 2.42 or not. You might have better luck with the multiplayer version. Or you may have no luck with either. But the game is too good to give up on easily. :)
