I might get that. Then again I'll probably wait for Chovexani to review it. She knows her FF.

2. What, are you mad???
I don't need Chovexani to decide for me whether or not I am going to pick this one up. I wasn't even the biggest fan of Final Fantasy VII, but that was mostly because I felt the game was incomplete, thanks to Sony rushing Square to get their big "killer app" for the PSX. Damn Sony.

But I'm very glad to see Square is finally breaking with tradition and digging up FF sequels (FFVII at least) to build upon them. "Advent Children" looks every bit like the movie "The Spirits Within" should've been, which is awesome. I'm surprised this isn't being considered for a theatrical release, even if only a limited one.

3. I didn't like FFVII the first time...it's the only one I didn't like
Well, I liked it a little before Aeris got killed. I didn't like Cloud before that, and pretty much hated him after that. I started strongly disliking him right when he gave the materia away, and then his weakness or "losing control" right when Aeris got killed was the last straw for me.

I quit playing it a little after that and never picked it back up. If you can't stand the main character, it sort of ruins it for you. I will admit that it's a very important and groundbreaking game, but I didn't like it.

Also, I'd like to see a review of it before I pick it up. Sometimes when companies rehash old games, they come out like crap....not always....just sometimes.

So I'll wait to see a review or two of it. Also, I like fan reviews better than "coporate reviews" (like Gamespot, EGN, ect). She's a true Square fangirl, and her reviews of games are pretty comprehensive. Besides, I know she's going to get it.

.....

Oh wait....this is a movie?

Oh, then I'll probably just download it and check it out before I buy it.

I thought it was a game...LOL

10. I thought it was going to be a game at first

I wasn't ready to invest a lot of my time into a game unless it was good.

Since it's a movie, I'll check it out no matter what.

4. it looks good
i have seen it, like allways the ending is kinda lacking, but it thinks its done that way on purpose to leave it open for another final fantasy 7 game

7. Don't forget this "Compilation of Final Fantasy 7" business
IIRC Dirge of Cerberus (the Vincent game) and Crisis Core (the PSP game) are going to be post-AC universe. So it doesn't surprise me. Hell I wouldn't be shocked if they announced more games. There's just so much material to work with in this universe.

For instance we still don't know a damn thing about Nanaki's tribe, other than the fact that most of them died defending Cosmo Canyon from the Gi tribe. Or how the hell he managed to have descendants despite supposedly being the last survivor. (I think WAY too much about this kind of thing, but I think that's because I write fanfic.)

5. AFAIR it will be a movie, not a game
Which is a good thing - continuity and FF don't mix well.

I wonder if they will include PAL frames, distort the graphics and slow it down to make European Gamers get the FF feeling :grr:
