2. Soon to be in your $9.99 discount rack. |

I picked up on Duke Nukem after Doom, so for me, it was an "also ran" from the very beginning.
The story is true video game history, but I'm guessing the result is to be one of the overrated / hyped games of all time since "Crackdown".

3. It might make for a watchable "Making of" TV movie comedy. |

I saw a report about its history on G4TV and the framework for a good story is there.
In our media, I think we spend too much time on the very few "great successes" and don't focus on the many more "dismal failures" which litter the technology industry (and others).
I'm reminded of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" as the book spanned YEARS longer than the movie did, and The Duke Nukem story is like that.
Unfortunately, in our obsession with "successful exceptions", the only thing that will get such a movie done, is if it turns out to be a great success.
Good luck with that!

Duke was a great FPS at one time, but I'll wait until the reviews are in before putting down any cash.
