1. Halo tips:
Kill everything that moves. Take their ammo. Go to the next area. Repeat.

Pretty much like any other FPS out there. :D

2. few tips for Halo (1)
Edited on Tue Dec-28-04 03:56 PM by Romulus
- the Covenent beam weapons work well at shorting out the Elites' force fields. If you hold down the trigger on the Covenant pistol, it will "overcharge" and be ready to shoot one big energy blast that will totally knock out both the Elites' force fields and the Jackals' power shields. The big energy blast even homes in on whatever you are targeting!
- the pistol is a good follow-up weapon after the Covenant's force fields/ shields are gone. Plus, you can use the pistol's zoom scope to head-shot the Grunts or Jackals.
- the Covenant grenades are good for "sticking it" to the Elites if you are close-up, and you can then turn you attention to the other bad guys right there trying to kill you
- the assault rifle is not that great a weapon. I ditch it as soon as I can for a Covenant plasma weapon of any type. My preferred combo is the Covenant rifle/human pistol
- the higher levels have their own quirks as the story develops
- pulling back on the joystick during a Warthog jump seems to help keep it under control while it's flying through the air, and allow you to set up for a controlled landing
- it's fun to try to keep as many Marines alive as you can, so they can stay with you. I like having them around for the camaraderie, plus the funny things they say

PM me if you have any more Q's. Halo was really fun, and I've moved on to Halo 2! :hi:
