I just got a PS3. I will wait 10 years before I think about getting a PS4 but by then the PS8 will be released. Xbox is also announcing a 720.

5. From what I've been reading and hear from tech experts |
|
Microsoft is considering native support for 360 games in Windows 8.
That would be simply awesome. 360 games played in Windows? Yes, please.

3. We just had the PS2 for all those years and now they want to keep upgrading |
|
I'll be keeping my PS3 for as long as it keeps working and as long as there are games available for it.

4. There have been updated and more powerful consoles released every few years... |
|
...since the Atari 2600.
Why should anybody be surprised that (I think it's) 8th generation consoles are on the way?
Just like with the PS2 and PS3 I will wait about a year until the first price drop and then I'll rush out to buy one if our finances will allow it.
As for the Wii, I never got one but I must admit the Wii-U looks pretty cool, and the fitness games that use the balance board have a lot of appeal for me now that my weight is dropping into the device's tolerance range.
