City of Heroes: Anyone playing/played this? What's the word? I've heard

1. Great game

I can't afford to play it anymore, but I loved it for the month that I did.

2. Played it for a while, lost interest

I was really excited for it to come out, the thought of a massively multiplayer game with superheroes was really cool to me.

At first I loved it. I played a few different types of heros till I found one i like and then played that one primarily. There is tons of different power combinations and looks so you can really customize yourself.

Unfortunately over time it seemed that even if there were different powers, they just looked different. Many while seeming to be different were not really. Sure one is fire damage the other is ice, but whatever. damage.

Then the quests were pretty repetitive. You'd be pretty much doing the same thing over and over again in slightly different looking locations against different baddies.

It just got old fast for me. While I loved it at first, by the time I was leaving Perez Park and going to some of the lower-mid level areas I was kinda getting bored with the game. It just got worse from there.

I can see someone really enjoying the game and sticking for awhie, but I gave up on it.
