4. How comes no one ever connects the rise in ADHS, Autism and

Asperger's to the fact that everyone is exposed to toxins in the womb? We're all carrying a mixture of chemicals from heavy metals to old pesticides to Teflon to herbicides to who knows what else.

5. No kidding, but part of the rise is due to first describing the problem

and then educating people in the diagnosis of it. The problem likely existed (I had one uncle who died recently in his 80s who was likely ADHD) all along.

Together with a recent rise in diagnoses of autism is an equal decline in the diagnoses of generic mental retardation.

However, all these toxins can't be good for women, the fetuses they carry, or the children they produce, "generally regarded as safe" or not.

We just know it's not thimerosol in childhood vaccines or dental amalgam in Mom's mouth, that one's been researched to death.

Actually I did encounter a retired teacher who has a son (now in his 30s) who had a marked learning disability, and she stated to me that she had been seeing a marked increase in the numbers of children who had difficulties during the last 15 yrs. that she taught. She was musing aloud while we were talking and then she stated that it is her belief that there has to be an environmental cause for this. "you can't pour toxins into the water, spew them into the air and think it'll never impact us."

6. I think the over medication of kids is a creation of big pharma

My son had one hell of a time getting off all the 'meds' they put him on to control his OCD. I'm not saying that these drugs don't work, I'm saying they are way over prescribed, and the tilt from therapy to pharmacy has gone too far.

it was never tested as an ADHD drug, it failed the tests to be an anti depressant.

there were never any long term tests.. some failed 4 month tests where only a hand full of the '20' in the test finished..

That's pretty charitable, when you consider how many Republicans show multiple symptoms of mental illness.

Is it any wonder that kids would develop ADHD when you see the volume of junk food, computer games and cable TV that is downloaded into them? What a coincidence that the solution to it all is to be found in Big Pharma.

It is NO coincidence that the Rockefeller foundations have herded medical research down the path of pharmaceuticals, and away from organic and holistic medicine. It's been happening for the better part of a century now, and the results are a dumbed-down populace that can't find Iraq on a map.

13. Homeopathy is CRAP

I took homeopathy by a PSYCH nurse no less,I was told to go off my medicines..for it to work.
I went back on my medicine when I found myself seriously considering drinking a big glass of ammonia with some juice in it to mask the taste...Some of those "alternative" therapies might work on mild cases. Placebo effect maybe..but for some people like me if I had "kept the faith" and kept taking the water and sugar pills as if it was medicine I'd be dead or seriously messed up.
