I have been working with a group of disability activists here in Tallahassee, Florida known as the Mickee Faust Club. This group calls itself "Community Theater for the Weird Community" with the word weird serving the purpose of inclusivity. A large constituency in this group consists of performers with various disabilities who write, produce and act in live performances and video shorts. They fight marginalization, infantilization and the outright exclusion of people with disabilities from the public discourse.
They are rude, and irreverent, and really funny. Here is a link to the introductory video I made for the compilation, which also serves to introduce the troupe. Mickee Faust is Terry Galloway, deaf performance artist and author of the upcoming memoir, "Mean Little Deaf Queer." She and her partner, Donna Nudd are co-founders of the group.
I did a lot of animation/effects, so it looks best in high quality!
