Also what are the best sites to find blue companies? Do we have a definitive list yet.

I live in OH which has traditional fault-based accident liability. I used to work at a plaintiff's injury law firm. What we found with Progressive is that their liability limits were very low. Watch out for that. You don't want to have a $20,000 insurance policy and be sued for causing $100,000 in injuries.
Here's another question. A friend of mine is active in the local Democratic party and has a Nationwide agency. I don't know how Nationwide is, but assuming they are red, doesn't that create a bit of a dilemma?

farmer's was getting way too pricey. i haven't had to file a claim with them yet, but found them helpful getting a windshield replaced on my 92 Nissan.
i can't complain about the cost of the insurance. finding out they're Blue was an extra bonus.

and love them. All cliams have been handled fast, with good service and excellent adjusters -- whether casued by me or someone else. I've never had a liability/injury claim, just property.
The reason that a lot of policy holders have a low liability limit is because they are especially competitive in the teenage/high risk market, and sell a lot of those policies. That being said, they do sell high limit policies as well (I have a 300CSL).

| 9. Depends on your state..... |

Some will offer things such as first accident forgiveness for good driving records although they are not REQUIRED to do so. Call your insurance commission and find out if there are any in your state. It could save you a boatload of money if you are ever in an accident.
