| So my mother bought some Walmart stock four years ago |
|
She's not really political but she hates Bush. She just figured it would be a wise investment for an extra thousand dollars that she had because at the time, Walmarts were springing up everywhere.
But the stock went from $60 a share to about $45 now. She's been wanting to sell it for a while but I've been telling her to hold off in case it goes up. No use losing money if you don't have to.
But I've been saying that for months now and it doesn't look like it's going to go back up to sixty a share. And now with all this negative press against Walmart, it doesn't look it's going to go anywhere.
Anyway, I'm not a stock expert and neither is she, so I'm wondering if anybody has advice on this matter?

| 1. Call Kramer on MSNBC. I don't think he's said a word about it. |

| 2. Does she have any capital gains to offset it against? |
|
Maybe if she were to seel something witha healthy profit, a long term cap gain, she could sell the loser and offset and not owe any taxes on the gain on the winner.
