| Where to buy electronics? |

I want to buy a satellite radio. Where can I go besides Circuit City? I think I heard Radio Shack is a right wing giver too.

Radio Shack gives 55.84% of it's political donations to Rethugs according to Follow Your Money. It's not ideal, but it could be worse. I'd go with Radio Shack if there is nothing more progressive in your area.

| 3. Maybe you can Google "satellite radio" |
|
and get info that way. You can still visit any stores in your area to actually see and hear the product but you can make your actual purchase online. I suppose you would have to still choose a good manufacturer but with all the links given in this forum that should be easy.

Go to the Sirius or XM Websites (Sirius is better-- not partially owned by Clear Channel--hint hint).
You can do a lookup of where you can get the systems and installation done locally, without going to a big box store.
I would look into this option.

| 5. I bought online at etronics.com... |
|
I got everything I needed for my car there. Clarion Tuner, Receiver and FM Modulator. I just bought the Terk MiniSir antennae at ebuyer.com. Even with shipping these prices were about 33% less expensive then Best Buy, Tweeter or Circuit City. Also there you may not have to pay tax depending on where you live.
Some great sites to try are Froogle.com, pricegrabber.com and pricescan.com
You could also try ebay
All the best,
M.

| 6. Did you do your own installation? |
|
My husband is handy so he could probably do it but of course I can't ask him since it will be his Christmas gift. Was it complicated to install? Thanks for the sites.

I got a local Dem friendly install business to install for $60. I tackle most of these jobs myself but when it comes to repairing CRT tubes and this type of install, I cry uncle :-)

| 7. costco.com or the sirius site |
|
I know they sell them online right from the site. Costco.com has two on their site; compare the prices with buying direct online.
You don't have to be a costco memeber to shop costco.com but if you're not one, you need to add a 5% surcharge.
