Really good guitar month...

Had a good month. Saved up some cash to finally buy an Epiphone Casino, and just the other day lucked into a PRS SE Custom 22 that someone was selling for cheap (with new Gotoh tuners and a Rio Grande Muy Grande pickup with push/pull pot). Just needs a new set of strings, which I bought today, Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Swing flats (12s). Yes, I know that some may balk at putting flatwounds on a solid body, but I've been doing that for awhile now and I love em! Flats on the Casino as well.

Anyway, thought I'd share....

1. Nice. I'm having a decent month myself, sold off my Pod X3 Live and bought

an Egnater Tweaker amp. I also have a Pod HD500 pre-ordered, Lovepedal Eternity Burst OD pedal on the way and . . . . well I guess that's it for this month :).

I no longer have an kind of amp GAS. I don't think you'll have much of a need for the amp emulators on that new Pod. You'll have to let us know how the effects are.

Now I'm jonesin' for a USA Telecaster to go with my Les Paul. My great geetar month is unfortunately a ways off.

3. Yup, the effects are the main reason I got it.

I played with a Line 6 M9 not too long ago, and the effects sound very good. With the HD, you get the same effect models, plus an expression pedal, plus the ability to have 8 effects in the chain. All for the same price as the M13.

I may still use the amp models for headphone playing and the like while the girlfriends asleep.

I just scored another side job moving a large website from one host to another that will probably net me enough money for some other toys too :).
