Is it against the rules for us to organize here? |
|
Meaning simply this'
We let each other know when we're on.
We go into threads together to defend our candidate.
We take turns posting positive articles and opinion on Edwards.
We identify the nastiest crowd, my opinion it's the Hill-Nippers, and decide on an attack plan for them.
We put one of us in charge of digging up dirt.
We having "meetings".
Are any of these things ok? I mean, why do we have this group if we can not organize within it to bring support and love to John Edwards? It just seems sometimes, those Hill-Nippers are working in groups, and it becomes imposable to get a word in.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

while posting in a thread, and losing my focus and getting dragged into meaningless back and forth.
I am physically and mentally exhaused. I just returned from Las Vegas into Cleveland on a red eye, and am getting too old for this kind of travel I was at the debate site, but not inside the venue.
I was in Vegas for a wedding (Elivs was the preacher!) and was delighted when a close family member, who works for the LA Times, asked if I wanted to sit in the press pool trailer with him..so I did!
So last night in a rather heated thread, without feeling I needed to defend myself in anyway I got tangled into dueling posts, and have learned my lesson FINALLY.
The "Hill-Nippers" personalize and attack posters, rather than debating the points, and can not be reasoned with.
So what's my point?
My point is that if we create an organized way to support Edwards, by supporting each other, as asdjrocky is suggesting, we become a better force for good.
I agree that the "Hill-Nippers" or anti-Edwards thread rats.....take your pick....seem to be organized.
I am about to go to sleep for a few hours....I hope when i return, I find that others think this is a good idea too.

You mean you want us to be more like John Edwards? I can live with that.

4. I have 22 people on ignore now..... |

 and DU is a much more positive experience for me right now.
I just don't have time to read nasty diaries and comments for any candidate!
There is so much good stuff out there we can support, John and Elizabeth would wish us to keep our eye on the ball and move forward with his great messages !
See the note pinned at the top of this forum by Skinner.....I think it means he doesn't want us to cause any trouble :D
Also, anyone with a donor star can read this forum ! But love the idea to bring positive force to the boards about JE and others we agree with.
Cross post those here as much as possible :grouphug:

7. I've started to alert on lots of nasty posts and threads |
|
Wonder if I'll get a warning or anything. But when someone deliberately starts a flamefest about Edwards or goes into a positive thread and craps on it, I'm not going to let it stand without my letting the mods know it has no place on this site.

8. Good for you and Thanks - |
|
It's been trying and frustrating here - and this is the really sad part: On any given day there are about five to six positive Edwards threads on the Greatest Page and usually two to three videos with one on top - No other candidate is getting the recs as Edwards does here daily. So, if they decide to crap on a thread, I say let them. It kicks it up and them more fence sitters start to pay attention. I'm also seeing a trend on the undecided definitely getting pissed at some of the other supporters and their tactics...I dare not mention names. ;) But, it's pretty clear to me that a nerve has been touched.
