That's right, all of you Edwards supporters here on DU rock!
While we didn't get the result we were seeking, there is no reason for us to give up now.
John Edwards has sacrificed a lot to run again. He did it for us. That's why I'm with Edwards all the way until the bitter end.
He will decide when that will be. Until then, I'm firmly committed to Team Edwards.
One proud moment I will have is when I will cast my ballot for John Edwards on Super Tuesday. In fact, I can't wait.
Off again to New Hampshire this weekend ... for John Edwards. Let's work hard on New Hampshire, and beyond.

5. The campaigns are packing up their gear and getting out of Iowa bound for NH. The next |
|
few weeks are critical.
John knows very well that it is not what happens to you, it is how you deal with it.
He must over come the enormous amount of money and the historic nature of this primary season.
For him to come in second is a triumph beyond all expectations. All that money couldn't knock him out of iowa......so pray and keep your fingers crossed and send him money.

6. I still support John but lowa mattered. it did. We can't kid ourselves. |

And it may very well be that this was the end. It wasn't just one state for this campaign.it was "the" state. It isn't as though we have unlimited resoueces to continue. I am very said tonight. I cannot support any other Dem candidate. I cannot.I guess I am persona non grata.so be it. The Democratic party is leaving me.I have not left them.

7. Yes, it did, saracat, and I'm sitting here crying |
|
my eyes out, but John is on TV this very minute, saying ONWARD! and I'm going to keep going for him, and with him. Please don't give up, saracat. Iowa was important, but it wasn't everything. John could still win the nomination.
(Don't forget that in many states, only Dems can vote in the Dem primaries.) :-)

9. Aw, saracat! You have been and are such a loyal supporter, and a fine patriot! |
|
Yes, I'm sad, and I'm shocked.... I really thought he had it.
It's kinda like the Kerry loss all over again.
BUT.... I do think it's not over. I'm not saying "chin up" or any such nonsense... you feel what you feel, and we all do.
BUT.... I'm like you.... Edwards is IT for me, and I'm not ready to "concede" yet.
Let's see what happens from his speech, too. Apparently it was a blockbuster!
 for saracat.... :loveya: :pals:
