[Two Americas]

On another thread, kelligesq and I traded some comments on the subject of immigration. It threatened to derail the thread, which is about a very important subject - the US Chamber of Commerce plans to wage war on us and to destroy us. I suggested that we take the debate about immigration elsewhere and that it might be an opportunity to have a rational and sane debate about the subject for once.

If we debate this in one of the big forums, it will attract the usual name-calling and shouting matches and personal attacks and hit and run posts, so I thought that we could hold the debate here as an alternative since we are both Edwards supporters.

Not sure if this is appropriate or not, and we won't do it if there are any objections. Thoughts?
