Hey you guys -- this might be of some interest... |
|
There's a debate on the tv and this one guy from the Carolinas sounds really presidential.
I think you'd like him.

2. Hi, SeattleGirl. He did just great, didn't he. |
|
I'm really proud of him. All those months of preparation put him in a competitive pressure cooker and with only a slither of the cash the other two have, he kicked their butts on that stage tonight.

Will the M$M talk about him tomorrow, though?

4. Good question, AndyA. If the M$M fail to do their jobs as usual, it won't |
|
mean you aren't exactly right about JRE hitting it out of the ballpark tonight.
In fact, that home run is going to still be airborne in Denver next fall!

8. The corporate media shoved a majority of our candidates aside, including |
|
John Edwards.
But he burned 'em up on that stage tonight. They can't shove him aside on this one!

9. The CNN poll has Obama winning the debate, Hilary in second, |
|
and John in third.
Did they see the same debate we did, or are they only counting 1 out of ever 5 people who voted for John?

15. "for a change" is right. And his performance tonight will shut a few |
|
of those naysayers up pretty quick.
He doesn't have the cash the other two have and the media ignore him and other Dems, but he stood strongest tonight and was the one who sounded most like a U.S. President.

in this thread alone.
A lot of good will being generated by the DU Edwards group, IMO.
And we're good for the long haul, too.

He stayed out of the fray and looked like the only adult on that stage. The sniping and bickering the other two engaged in was petty and juvenile. They reminded me of my son and daughter's arguments when they were in grade school.

22. Hi, Lugnut. He had the resolve of a problem-solver tonight, didn't he. |
|
He's always had it, is my guess.
Between him and Elizabeth, I bet that was always one REALLY well-run household. The two of them suggest the firmness of career success and the humane affection of a house full of very good memories.
I love these people.

28. Edwards seems to be at home in this kind of format. He's as calm as |
|
stone but my god the passion in him, and the preparation... there's a bedrock leader in John Edwards.
It's up to SC voters to acknowledge one of their own.

On issue. Quick. Funny. And did you notice? No one called him a liar.
Another time, did you notice how many times they said, "As John has said." Or, "John touched on this earlier."
The leader all the way. Just what we needed after Nevada.

33. right on all counts (I did read your post on the acknowledgements...) AND |
|
it cooled all the JRE Must Drop Out chatter real fast.
It's just not reasonable to ask someone who did as well as Edwards did this evening to leave the dialogue.
He won over alot more people than just his own supporters, IMO.
