When will Edwards announce his candidacy?

As an Edwards fan living in candidate-friendly Eastern Iowa, I'm naturally curious.

Obviously, this will probably more speculation than anything. That said, if anyone knows anything, let 'er rip.

1. I think he said on the daily show that he was going to...

announce something important on his web site in a few weeks. So I am expecting an announcement soon.

And he should. No hurries at this point.

3. Update:

Chicago Tribune's blog, the Swamp, claims it will be Dec 29th. However, I haven't seen it anywhere else, which makes me wonder why they would have that piece of information and no one else does. Think it may have to do with Obama?
