As I understand it, his cousin is a fundamentalist Muslim, so if Obama did campaign for him as Wilson claims, such material is ripe fodder for a right wing smear campaign. However, the media seems to be reluctant to attack Obama, so don't expect a swiftboat echo chamber like was orchestrated against John Kerry.

I also wonder how many Obama supporters wrongly assume that he voted against the Iraq authorization. Moreover, to bring this around to Edwards, who trusts that he would have voted against it had he been the U.S Senator from North Carolina rather than safely ensconced in a liberal state senate district in Chicago.
