I wrote a good-bye to DU note on the General Discussion: Politics board, because i was fed up with the lies and the ugliness.

My post elicited many intelligent and convincing replies, encouraging me to stay, and telling me how to use the ignore function (thanks, Old Crusoe).

I decided that I would just linger here on this board for a while and avoid the other boards.

when I go back to the other boards, I plan to make copious use of the ignore button.

Anyway, nice to be here.
