I guess I shoulda posted this in the GD-P forum, but hopefully some DU'ers who comment were there. He sure made a b-line for the door after it was over, that floral print lady was stalking him - I think she forced herself into his face 3 times, and was unsuccesful on the 4th attempt as he got in the van, ending his time imo just to get away from her (there didn't seem to be any handlers). I ended up with an unintended autograph and as he was signing I said, "John, this running for president thing is rather crazy being up close to it" (referring to the stalker lady who just went away from him the 3rd time), and he smiled and looked up from signing and said something like (not direct quote) "it's a unique way to choose to live!" - which made my day, because he wasn't saying much on his way out just lots of nods and hand shaking and 'thank you'. As he handed the sign back, I told him thank you for pushing for universal healthcare - and that was that. I told a gentleman of foreign descent not to shove the sign in his face like he was doing, literally 1 foot or less from his face, and he pulled it down. John of course, can't say much, and as I said, there were no handlers that I saw. There was one heckler on the 2nd floor during the 15 min. speech - he said one short comment when John was talking about the Iraq invasion and how the troops had served and needed to come home - he was drowned out by John continuously talking and that was the last I heard from him.

John gave a great stump speech about univ. healthcare, Iraq withdrawal, B*sh screwups, & global warming. Couple hundred people there.

LOL...Stalker Lady ... he does have a few hardcore roadies following him around :D

I wouldn't be surprised if that heckler was a republican plant !

I'm sure that frightened the men in there with me... ha

Can't wait. It's good that he's getting around to a lot of places besides the first primary states.
