Cheers to all of you who have not thrown me under the bus, but have had patience |
|
while I have struggled with coming to terms with my sadness. I know I have really argued a lot and been very insistent. But really all I needed was for one person to say that they understood, and that happened today.
I have given it up, and am finished being sad about losing John Edwards. And I am OK about it.
I can't will with my might, something that can not be. He was a shinning star for a short time but now I have confidence he will return to us, only in a different role.
I have a race to run when I leave here today. I have a lot of running to do to catch up on the past weeks of life that I have missed out on.

Go out there and start the work we all must do. Move forward, think of the future, and go find some backyard Progressive to get behind. Once you start looking, they are everywhere.

5. Thanks rocky. I'm working and supporting Judge Bill O'Neil who is running for the |
|
US Congress. A great guy, but a hard fight. He needs all the help he can get.
All the best to you and the work you are doing!

8. Dueling semantics and hardy and well fought argument, is a lost art. There is an ebb and flow |
|
to arguing that is required. Artful debating is invigorating, especially when the parties are able to duel with interesting and little known facts.
A good debate is one that stays out of the gutter and maintains a level of respect and does not personalize.
A good debate is a back and forth, point to point, working to keep in check, emotional rationalization.
A good debate does not mean that one gives up their position, but means that at the end of the day, both sides shake hands and agree to disagree, if that is the case.
I absolutely loved the Denzel Washington movie "The Debators"..... I highly recommend it, it is well worth the time.
