Black. Female. Accomplished. ReDEFINED.
New FB page...

This page is dedicated to the serious dissection of the damaging stereotypes and negative images that often plague strong professional black women in America--and how Michelle Obama has changed everything--or has she?

This site will be the book website and will house the LIVE survey links and information about the author. It will also serve over time as a national clearinghouse on important facts, information, polling data, focus groups, and breaking news relative to the health, wellness, relational, and career success of accomplished black women throughout the United States.
Mission:
Our mission is to study & discuss as a template Mrs. Obama's evolution from "controversial" presence during the 2008 campaign, to one that is now clearly transformative and is redefining the way that the national pop-culture views strong accomplished black women.

Mrs. Obama's popularity in the early summer 2008 was at 37%, she was under severe attack and was considered by most whites to be a black radical. She now stands at 70% approval by all Americans and around the world as our nation's 1st black first lady.

How did this happen and why does it matter to the rest of us? And what lessons can we learn from her life and her present example as First Lady of the United States.

1. You'll have to provide updates as Facebook won't even allow you to view the page
if you're not a Facebook user. One of the many reasons I'll never be one.

2. Wanda Sykes had a good bit about her.
She talked about how the media kept asking, "Who is the real Michelle Obama?" which is code for "When is she gonna snap her fingers and be sassy?"

On a totally unrelated note, Wanda has always been too cute but she is looking RAVISHING in this clip.
