I completely understand. I so completely understand what you're saying, they need a new way to say "I completely understand."

What I find funny is that some of the main folks here when they talk about racist attitudes/behaviors of OTHER folks (because you know, only OTHER white people are ever racist) their main comment is "hopefully these people will all die soon." I find that so ironic. Breathtaking honestly. When you refuse to acknowledge the racism WITHIN YOURSELF and scream "racist" at every person with melanin who dares to try to educate you on your own racial shortcomings, how the hell is racism supposed to die off?? When you deny/dismiss/minimize the experiences of the VERY PEOPLE most impacted by racism, how the hell is racism supposed to die??

These folks think that just because they aren't the ones burning crosses and talking about a "master race" that racism is just not that big of a deal and that it's mostly in the heads of whoever black/brown person brought it up. Raineyb said it perfectly once -- CALLING someone or their actions racist is actually worse than BEING racist in the eyes of far too many whites. That thread and the attitudes within are a prime example of the kind of willful clulessness and stubborn stupidity that many people of color have to deal with on a daily damn basis.
