OJ got arrested again

Personally, I think he did it, but my god white people act like OJ is worse than Osama. I think everyone should be forced to watch HBO's OJ in Black and White documentary.

1. It's a good thing the "Pacman" Jones and Michael Vick

were around to keep people focused on important issues between OJ's arrests. I posted this story in another thread recently but I saw some of the OJ coverage on the news while my brother was at my place a couple of days ago and he started singing this-

I actually heard somebody say on talk radio at work today that OJ should get the death penalty for this robbery. Of course they didn't mention Blackwater getting its license revoked because really who cares about insignificant stuff like that.

Someone in the LBN thread made a "joke" about OJ intentionally getting arrested because he heard Paris Hilton was in jail and he wanted another white woman.

Sure, the low post count makes me think it was a troll but I thought it was telling.

If OJ had killed Robin Givens no one would care.

6. My take for what it's worth...

...I'm still not sure if the "outrage" of OJ is over the fact that he killed a white woman, or
1. that he killed a white man (Ron Goldman) or
2. that he was a black man of wealth that got away with it or
3. a combination of all.

Women of wealth get away with killing their wives all the time. I watch a LOT of American Justice, seriously it happens. The families of those they kill are destroyed by it, but no one else seems to blink an eye. Women are frequently the victims of crime and no one seems to care. Case in point, OJ had been beating Nicole for YEARS and merely got slaps on the wrist. Why? Because he was OJ--a football hero, tv and film star, a wealthy celebrity. His wife and their problems didn't matter. His wealth, fame and status did.

Personally, I think the fact that OJ also killed a white man, an "innocent bystander" is what so many feel such "outrage" over. It has little to do with Nicole or her race.

BUT--I DO agree, with you Chovexani--that if he'd killed a black woman...no one would have blinked an eye. I doubt there would have been a "media circus", a televised trial, any of it--had OJ killed a black woman in south central LA.

4. They're going insane again

They can't stop talking about how he got away with it. :eyes: He was acquitted of the crime of which he was accused in a legal trial--end of story. Listen for the crickets when the wrongfully convicted, usually men of color, have been in prison for years and decades, when railroaded by an unfair and racially biased injustice system.

5. I think that's what really gets me about the OJ stuff

The hyperventilating about how ZOMG THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IS BROKEN.

Meanwhile the rest of us are like "fucking duh, and?"
