Since Al and Jesse are so busy, I figure we need to elect an Official Black Person to speak on important matters such as whether we as a people are afraid to vote for Obama because he is black, or what Bill O'Reilly ordered at Sylvia's.

6. For years in CA...

(specifically southern CA) the journalists would go to First AME church and ask Cecil Murray. I'm not kidding. You could just see it coming no matter what the story was,"...and Cecil Murray of First AME church now speaking for the collective black community." :eyes: I can't tell you how many times I called yelled that Cecil Murray does not speak for ALL black people.

One station had it worst than all the others--he was their "on-call black guy" I guess. I stopped watching the station, so I don't know if they are still doing it.

my wife was an honored guest of someone .... we were dragged backstage afterwords and met Rev. Murray and the boatload of other ministers in that place.

however, as the white husband I did get some not exactly friendly looks from some members of the congregation.

...you could even agree to be "obligatory black friend" for every bigot that needs to say they have one (in name at least). For the use of dropping your name in such discussions you could quote a specific rate. For the ability to use something "you've actually said" to fend off accusations of bigotry, that's a different rate.

You get to charge A LOT MORE if they need to use your status as a woman, too.

I've seen some disturbing conversations about his "biracial heritage."

One specific group I've seen seems to ONLY recognize his "black heritage" and refuses to acknowledge anything else. I suppose this comes from the years of racial "mixing" being taboo. (The thought of interracial sex makes them :scared: lol). As if somehow acknowledging that he is bi/multiracial is dismissive of his "black heritage." :shrug:
