I was going to PM you about that thread, because I was off DU for a while and then clicked back on that thread and it was gone--not locked, like the original flame bait threads, but gone. That was a real :wtf:.

2. The voices of those posting crap were heard

MY VOICE was suppressed. I post threads VERY RARELY. My teaser subject line was faux "flamebait." My post was NOT. There are currently two threads titled SEX. The posts say "now that I have your attention." NEITHER was disappeared. Maybe I need to take a break... I realize my voice is not welcome here.

3. It was totally absurd. Your post wasn't just non-flamebait, but it was an affirmative post

supporting one of our candidates instead of tearing one down. There is no way it should have been deleted. I don't blame you for being furious and feeling you need a break. :(

It really helped smooth my ruffled feathers. I'm a bit calmer now seeing the absurdity of the aftermath. The thread that seeks to FYI all on the anthropological view of race, (whose OP was wholly offended to see the word "white" in my subject line) has generated not one but TWO copycats, NEITHER OF WHICH HAS BEEN LOCKED, BOTH OF WHICH are LOUNGE material.
