2. Under 'w' wherever I went....

...I wondered, "...did you vote for that hateful jerk?" I also didn't feel safe, with the increase of those bolstered to "let their bigotry flags fly high."

Frequently surprised by where and when I'd find someone with a confederate flag flying from their truck.
...and I live in CA. :scared:

:hi::hug:

4. I am with you
I am still and have been leary of some folks out there. * carelessly opened up the door further for bigotry and hate, Palin stoked it and now we will have to force the government to reign in the hate groups.

6. How lovely...
...I love roses.

Thank you for joining the celebration. I posted this in an attempt to lift the mood around here. I was concerned that all the other controversial threads had scared people away. Good to see you! :hi:

7. Never expected to see this day
when Bush* made conditions so bad that the majority had to grit their teeth, swallow hard, grip the wall harder, and go against decades of social convention and racist programming and vote for someone that most wouldn't want for a neighbor.

:nuke:

I don't know if this is a one-time glitch or a full paradigm shift, but, no matter which, it's one for the ages.

8. Me neither.
At least not in my lifetime. I also didn't expect to feel as I did when I heard the announcement. Really overwhelmed with emotion.
Of course, it didn't help that msm(mainstream media) seemed intent on finding every face of color they could televise, with tears streaming down their faces on election night. :eyes:

MSM can certainly milk a moment, can't they? ;)

9. I vote for the one-time glitch.
That is what is so amazing about Obama. While I doubt running in 2008 so early in his career was in his master plan, he saw his "in" and seized the day. In normal times, I do not believe the masses would have voted for a black man, much less a Barack Hussein Obama.

What surprised me throughout this election, though, is how many people really believed, knew, he would win. Michelle said in February that this would be the only time Barack would run for president. If he wasn't elected this time, they would not try again. She knew. I ran into several older black women who were certain Obama would win. Some quoted the Bible, others said the stars were aligned just right, but they knew.

This election has been beyond exciting. And the outcome, whether caused by the stars, the Bible, or the ineptness of bush, could not possibly be sweeter!

Go Obama!
