Roland Martin on No Bias No Bull
Campbell Brown is a right winger in my opinion. Her show is biased and full of bull. However, I looked at another blog discussing Roland Martin filling in on her show and wondered what others thought about these comments.

Hi — I’M ROLAND MARTIN, A CNN ANALYST FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS AND I’LL BE FILLING IN FOR CAMPBELL BROWN OVER THE NEXT EIGHT WEEKS. AS A PROFESSIONAL JOURNALIST FOR 18 YEARS, COVERING ALL KINDS OF STORIES ACROSS THIS COUNTRY, I’VE HAD ONE STANDARD — IF YOU DO GOOD, I’LL TALK ABOUT YOU, IF YOU DO BAD, I’LL TALK ABOUT YOU. AT THE END OF THE DAY, TRUST ME, I’LL TALK ABOUT YOU. I’M NOT GOING TO BOTHER WITH THE SILLY NOTION OF WHO’S A LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE ON THIS SHOW. I VOTED FOR OBAMA AND ALSO GEORGE H. W. BUSH. REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS. ON SOME ISSUES, I MIGHT BE CALLED A LIBERAL, OTHERS, A CONSERVATIVE. I JUDGE PEOPLE BASED ON THE ISSUES AND REFUSE TO BE PIGEON HOLED AND WEDDED TO THE RIDICULOUS NOTION OF IDEOLOGY. OUR GOAL ON THIS SHOW IS VERY SIMPLE, AND THAT IS TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER NO MATTER THE PARTY OR THE PERSON.

Is it just me, or should I not be surprised he voted for Bush? Prior to this election, I was not the most politically aware person, but I could never see a reason to vote for Bush? Opinions anyone?

**not bashing Roland, glad he voted for Obama just surprised he would vote for Bush.

1. if i heard right, then his wife is from houston
and she was a member of wheeler avenue baptist (i cld be wrong abt that), which was pastored by reverend william lawson

reverend lawson was g.w. bush's buddy and endorser, and he made no secret of it

this was when they changed the "issue" from economics and the war, into "if the gays get married then the world will end on wednesday". remember that? my own cousin (bless her heart) went totally askew from her own personal issues, and voted for w over that bs

but yeah, roland is a religious type, and he fell for the hype in '04

quiet as it's kept, Black ppl are as conservative as they can be when it comes to religion imo

2. Yeah...that makes sense then. Now that I think about it, there is a
church in Southfield, Michigan..just outside of Detroit with a black republican preacher and he encouraged his flock to vote for W. I'm not sure if it was because of gay marriage or abortion. Thanks for your post...it all makes sense now.

OT-This same church..mega church..had a lady sit before a council of people to explain herself when she needed some help with food. go figure :eyes:
