Well, I just figured out why I've been tired and queasy for the last three damn weeks. Why the smell of food has made me want to run screaming out of my home and why my beloved husband has been playing my nerves like a banjo, even when he's just sitting quietly.
Yep, your old buddy 23 will be bringing forth yet another bundle into the world. (My angel will be three in a few weeks.)
Please pray for my sanity. And that the world does not run out of ginger ale and saltines for at least another 8 months. :)

So exciting! I'm happy for you!
Girl! Isn't Ginger Ale required? When I was pregnant with my 2nd son, we were living in Detroit and my father in law brought home Vernor's (A locally made ginger ale type of drink) I almost took his head off! He kept saying "It's the same thing" and I was so upset! I was crying "NO IT'S NOT!"
LOL!
We still laugh about that to this day!
Take it easy honey! Drink your ginger ale and eat those saltines!

Girl, how did women survive before ginger ale?? HOW??? I cannot even IMAGINE trying to get through this without something for the constant queasiness.
And you are sooo right about the brand. Girl, I know your FIL was trying to help but men just DON'T UNDERSTAND. The brand makes ALL OF THE DIFFERENCE. It's either Canada Dry for me or NOTHING! I actually have to order it online because they don't sell it in the stores here. My husband brought home some old bargain basement saltines the other day. I took one look at the box, looked back at him and without me saying a word he was like "okay, I'll go to the store again tomorrow and get the right kind."
Girl, pray for both of us!

Wow. Green tea ginger ale sounds it could kill two of my needs in one swat. I just went to the Canada Dry web site to see if they sell it here but of course they don't. :(

He didn't like it, so maybe that's it... I found the flavor a bit lighter and fresher (sounds like cliches, huh?) less SWEET.
Thanks for bringing that baby bump smile to our faces!! :pals:

I know, I know. It's not like it takes much to make a pregnant lady cry but you just brought up a tear (or five). :)
I would be honored to have you be my cyber-grandmother to my angel. That is the most beautiful thing I think anyone has ever said to me here, noire. Thank you and bless you for that.

i mean it too  i am a poet, so something i say poetic things :silly: i didn't have any children, but i have four nephews and three nieces. my oldest nephew is an INSANE radical muslim who i can't even talk to...nor does he talk to me. he thinks i am going to whatever the islamic equivalent of hell is. my oldest niece is more normal, but she was raised with her mother's family, so we aren't close. they are the only ones to have kids so far :-( i love children, especially when they're young, but i knew i was too screwed up to have any myself. hard to believe i could be a grandmother (turned 50 in december), but then again, i know many people who are grandparents in their late 30's and early 40's.

The real question is, what the hell is HIS problem, not yours?? What a horrible sounding person! I'm sorry, I don't mean to be judgmental but seriously, anyone who thinks that way about their own flesh and blood needs to be worried about his own immortal soul before he worries about someone else's.
Don't you spend a second on him, noire. Not one damn second.

Girl, you are so right! My MIL got married at 16 and child, was a grandmother by the time she turned 40. Has never worked a day in her life. Needless to say she and I have absolutely NOTHING in common. :) I love her anyway.
So, now I'm all giddy thinking about the duties of a cyber-granny! :) What would a good cyber-granny do?? Bake cyber-cookies?? Knit cyber-sweaters?? Take my little angel on trips to the cyber-zoo! This is going to be a lot of fun trying to figure this out!! :loveya::rofl:

Thanks, Semicharmed. I'm hoping for another little girl.
But my husband, in typical Aussie manner says "I hope it's a boy. I'd love to have someone to give my sh*t to." :eyes: As if anyone, male or female, wants 6000 years of military paraphernalia and dusty old history books. :)

I really, really appreciate all of the well wishes. And I certainly was not expecting an offer of honorary grandmother-dom! :)
Every single person that means anything to me on this web site has sent their congratulations and it is so very appreciated. (Well, except KindofBlue but she's been working hard)
I've had issues in the past so we're just hoping that things go well this time around. Thanks again for the encouragement and congratulations. It really means alot.

Thank you so much, sweetheart. Your congrats are very much appreciated. Everyone keeps telling me that the key to having your children be "friends" as well as siblings is to teach the older one that she has to help mommy and daddy take care of the baby too. That the baby is "hers" every bit as much as ours. She's only 3 but my little one is already soooo nosy and bossy that I just know that she is going to be a most excellent big sister. This kid will be monitored 24-7 whether s/he wants to be or not! :)

As for updates, it's pretty safe to assume that the non-stop nausea and tiredness will continue throughout the entire pregnancy, like it did with my daughter. :(
I'm trying to be like you and have two girls. But my husband has other plans. :)
